Paris Lookbook Part 2 with The Aptment - Parisian Princess!

When I got invited for a whirlwind 72 hours in Paris by The Aptment as you may have seen on my Instagram and previous post. I knew I wouldn't have much time to see Paris as we had such a booked schedule, we went to Villa M at the Premiere Classe show in Paris and acted as buyers for the weekend, opening my eyes to some really incredible designers and allowed me to meet some really wonderful people in the process.

I knew I wanted to see the Eiffel Tower if nothing else and I am so glad I did. I wanted to go and take some super Sex and The City shots and decided I wanted to get an outfit that made me feel like my own little version of Carrie Bradshaw. I have written previously about how much I take inspiration from Sarah Jessica Parker, and this was a moment that made me feel like a million dollars and I knew I wanted to get myself an outfit to fit the occasion. So when we were finally given a spare hour or so from acting as buyers, we headed straight for the Eiffel Towers. It was so much fun being busy but it was lovely to take an hour or so out to see the beauty of Paris.

I really couldn't completely categorise my style the same way perhaps other bloggers could. I have some days where I want to wear all black and feel oh so mysterious and brooding, there are other days when a pair of mom jeans and an oversized shirt do perfectly, and then there are Carrie Bradshaw princess days in Paris where I want to feel like a Parisian princess. This happened to be a day feeling like the latter.

I love the fact I don't confine myself to a certain style, however I do know I always like something a little bit different, something a little bit special or different. I think any outfit that can make me smile as much as this did as I was twirling at the Eiffel Tower, then its a keeper.

Right before I went to Paris I got my new Valentino's, the princess shoe of dreams I had been lusting over for months. I knew how special they made me feel so I wanted to make sure I had an outfit to match this feeling. I made a trip to Zara and saw this glittery tulle skirt and immediately fell head over heels for it. I have always lusted over the tulle trend as it comes and goes in both A/W and S/S looks.

I didn't want this outfit to be too over the top or dressy, so a slouchy t shirt worked out perfectly for this look. The black and white contrast between my clothes and accessories just seemed so perfect to me. I carried on the choker theme from my last blog post to try and make this outfit less girly and more princess meets leather!

Tulle isn't something to be necessarily afraid of as its a hell of a lot more versatile than you may think. I have already been planning so many autumn and winter outfits for this year. I can't wait to pair this beauty with chunky knits, scarves and boots, its going to be such a sweet combination. Watch this space!

I think the true purpose of fashion and personal style is being able to find pieces and outfits that make you feel like your better self, the outfits that give you that added extra self confidence. I think no matter what you're wearing, if its what you feel comfortable and happy in, it'll look amazing. A lot of people preach that the fashion industry is all about trends and an ever-changing atmosphere and there is no doubting that this is the case, however its adapting these changes and trends into exactly how you need them to be to suit you personally. Thats what having style is all about in my eyes.
