Oh Canada! My favourite place in the world, doing my favourite thing inthe world.

It is no secret to my friends and family that my favourite place in the world is sitting on a bench in Banff observing the Bow River with nothing but my thoughts and my passion tea (which heartbreakingly UK Starbucks do not make, and believe me I have emailed  Starbucks and begged). Alongside knowing I am about 30 minutes away from a ski resort. Pure heaven.
Canada has been my favourite place ever since I was a young girl and I went skiing for the first time when I was 4 years old. I have loved it ever since, and tied with Canada's natural beauty, wonderful people and abundance of snow really its a match made in heaven for me and good old Canada.

I always go Skiing with my dad as it has been a passion we both share and have for so many years, he is a qualified ski instructor so there was no way really that I would have been brought up not to ski, and I love him for it. Skiing is also really amazing for your fitness and this is something I only found out a couple of years ago, you burn so many calories when you ski due to the constant movement and tensing involved in all of the actions and turns. It means not only can you enjoy yourself far too much, but you can get toned while you do it! Its a win win scenario really isn't it?

Skiing holidays are also one of the only holidays where I will go to the gym, usually in hotels when you go skiing they tend to have pools and hot tub facilities (due to the wonderfully cold weather) and most of the time a gym. I love working out in other countries for some reason, I am always far more motivated somewhere away from home. Whenever I sat and watched runners along the river I would always envy their exercise surroundings, as much as I love where I live, the scenery in no way inspires me the way it would over here. My Dad and I always joked there was no excuse to not want to exercise in a place as stunning as this.

My final love of Canada is the fact I get to wrap up, and wrapping up is my one true love.

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Let me know your thoughts below and if you would be interested in a 'things to do in' post for Canada! Or indeed any fitness posts you'd like to see!
