Beach Inspiration! #BouxBeachRep Entry

I wanted to create a beach inspiration post as summer is approaching and I am getting to the stage where the idea of a summer break is more than exciting and I am sure lots of you cannot wait for some quality sun time, so whether you are heading on holiday this year or are just planning on enjoying the UK sunshine, I thought I would come up with some summer looks as I know I am in need of some inspiration for my summer holiday!
I am off to Portal Nous with my wonderful family on the 11th of July and I honestly cannot wait for a break and a well needed tan!

I absolutely adore floaty cover ups for when I am on holiday, they just make me feel so fabulous and confident and confidence is the greatest thing when you're flaunting in a bikini in the sun! I just love how they looks so stunning in the wind and keep you oh so nice and cool when you're just going to and from the beach or the pool and don't just fancy being in your bikini.
I know I will most definitely be stocking up on my floaty items for my holiday. This bright orange colour would look absolutely stunning with a tan, I always love the fact that bright colours looks oh so fabulous when you are on holiday as they always looks so beautiful with a tan and indeed do make you look more tanned than you actually are!

Its not only in your coverups that you can flaunt some colour. I have noticed this year that colourful bikinis are coming in all shapes and sizes to be suited to any body shape. It seems that every aspect of your summer wardrobe needs to be bright and sunny (just how we love the weather to be!)

I have always found so much inspiration from celebrity snaps you always see online of the rich and famous on their wonderful holidays, and then try and affordably replicate their style. I love the challenge of trying to find a look that a celebrity may have overpaid for and then re create it from bits I can find in the high street. Also keep an eye out for beachwear campaigns at stores such as Boux Avenue, H&M and other fabulous high street shops.

I also wanted to have this post as an entry to #BouxBeachRep, I am going away to Portal Nous on the 11th of July, and I would absolutely love to blog my holiday experience with Boux Avenue, I don't know about you lovely readers but I have absolutely adored Boux Avenue since I first entered their shops. I would love to be able to bring you all along on my holiday with me with the help of Boux Avenue. I want to be able to document the amazing memories I will create with my family in style.

I really hope you enjoyed this post!

I posted an image asking if you guys had any questions that you wanted me to answer so here we go! I picked any ones that came up more than once and those I thought were interesting!
How old are you?
My birthday is the 17th of January and I am as of January 17th 2015, 17 years old.
Who is your favourite fashion designer?
I could not give you one name I honestly couldn't! I have so many designers I absolutely adore, my favourites would have to be; Celine, Alexander Wang, Balmain and of course Christian Louboutin!
If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
I have every intention of going to live in Canada when I have finished full time education and have enough money and job prospects to move. I have never felt so at home and at peace anywhere as much as I do in Canada. I can't wait to start a life over there.
What country do you most want to visit?
I am not too sure actually as I have been lucky enough to have travelled a lot already, but I would have to say I would love to explore the USA.
How did you meet Joe and how long have you been together?
I met Joe through Instagram ironically, he followed me when one of my videos was on the popular page (RIP popular page) and then we started talking, he worked in Manchester so I went and saw him every now and again when he was on his break or before lunch and it all went from there! As of the end of January 2015 we will have been together 8 months!
Do you ever get bored of your hair colour?
I tend to dye my hair sometimes but it usually only goes from lighter to darker so I would have to say no not really I quite like my hair!
What colour item would you never wear?
Oh gosh I don't know really, I don't have any objections to colour at all I would happily add one item of any colour into one of my all black outfits as it would look really so no colour really! However the idea of head to toe in any colour other than black makes me feel very uneasy...
What's your favourite make up brand?
I really like MAC and The Balm for really good quality everyday products and then of course there is Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent and Dior, ah I can dream.
What is your everyday make up?
I will be making a blog post about this hopefully soon so keep an eye out! I use MAC, The Balm and MUA products mainly!
Do you diet/how do you keep in shape?
I don't really diet I just go through periods of trying to be more healthy than other times, I go through long periods of eating crap and then I try and cut it out for a little while (lying in bed with Joe watching films eating food is to blame I feel...). With regards to exercise I don't really do much, if I go to the gym I will just go on the treadmill for half an hour and then do some strength workouts on my core and legs etc.
Prom dress tips!
I was not great at picking my prom dress at all, I first had a black floor length Moschino gown and then ended up wearing a gorgeous black and nude lace number I found in the TK Maxx clearance! My main tip is just honestly wear what is you, don't feel like you have to wear a certain type of dress and make it reflect you. My main regret for prom is not going in a suit with a low cut blazer and no shirt, that would have been so so killer fml.
I will be making a blog post very soon on prom so stay tuned!

Thank you for all of your questions,

Bikini Time! - Forever Unique

I received this beautiful bikini in the post today, its from the amazing Forever Unique.
I have never owned anything from Forever Unique but have definitely fallen in love with this piece. There is a link to this stunning bikini here! The way this came in the mail was absolutely stunning, I am such a sucker for nice packaging!

I was really impressed with the quality and the detailing on this bikini, it has beautiful diamonte detailing and the material itself is nice and thick.
I think this range of bikinis would be a really lovely way of treating yourself before a summer holiday, because who doesn't feel good when they have treated themselves?

I am thinking of wearing this combination when I go to Nikki Beach on my holidays this summer, pairing it with a floaty maxi like this beautiful one from South Beach Swim, link here for you!
I am such a lover of long flowing pieces of clothing they make me feel really classy and sexy at the same time, a combination I absolutely adore.

Just a close up so you can see how beautifully detailed this bikini is.

I cannot wait to be wearing this on holiday and even being on holiday!

I was planning on doing a full bikini outfit/inspiration post so please do let me know what you think of that!
If you have any more summer posts you'd like to see then please do let me know!

Every Day Make Up!

I have been getting lots of comments on my Instagram ( my everyday make up looks that I always gravitate towards! I will hopefully be starting up my YouTube (link here!) and will make a proper video about the products that I use if this would be something you'd like so do let me know if you would like that!
This blog post will just allow me to list off the items that I use so that if you were interested in purchasing any of them then you can!

I start by using Benefit's Porefessional, and I really am such a lover of this product I would fully recommend it just for the feel on your skin. It reduces the look of your pores when you apply your make up and smooths out any imperfections you may have on your skin at the time. I really love this for when I am doomed with the 'pre spot mound of doom' and I find it really helps me reduce the look of these imperfections and make me feel much better about myself. Who doesn't love a helping hand for feeling wonderful!

I then go on and apply my Mac Studio Fix in NC25, this is the foundation I have been using for 2 years now and I really love how it looks on my skin as it is relatively full coverage and isn't a liquid consistency so it doesn't feel like you are caking your make up on. I highly recommend this foundation on this basis and the fact that these tubes last me absolutely forever so I can more than justify the price! Finally I conceal any trouble areas with this Pür concealer, it has a sponge applicator so it is oh so easy to apply.

For my eyebrows I just use a Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in the shade Rich Brown and I take this on a angled brush and just press the powder through my brows deepening the colour and bringing out the shape to more how I like my brows to look, its as simple as that for me!

For my contour and highlight I use this NARS Laguna Tahiti bronzing powder and I use this to contour my cheekbones and sometimes apply it to my forehead and below my neck. To highlight I use mainly The Balms Cindy-Louminizer and its absolutely gorgeous and is my go to.

For my everyday look I will always tend to lean towards my Stila Palette. I absolutely love the range of colours in this and the payoff is really good within the pigmentation.
I have some other cheaper palettes and single shadows that work just as well as this and there are so many fabulous nude toned palettes available that it is super easy for you to be able to get your hands on one for everyday use.

I also sometimes do a winged liner look when I am not feeling a nude or a smokey eyeshadow look. For this I always lean towards liquid liner as I just feel as though I get a more precise line with this type of eyeliner. I tend to use the Schwing eyeliner from The Balm or I go for my Seventeen Wet Look Liner which is only £4 its absolutely great value for money and lasts the day.

For my eyelashes, I always curl my lashes as I love how they look when they are curled. After I have curled them I apply my mascara, I don't really have a mascara that I use everyday. However this Barry M Showgirl mascara which is a really thick brush and I think works really well at spreading out my lashes and bringing up length. I also love the Benefit They're Real or Roller Lash as they are great more expensive alternatives to give length and volume.

In my eyes I do not think that it is really worth spending loads and loads of money on a really high end mascara as you can find really great alternatives in your high street shops. I highly recommend a waterproof mascara for a more long everyday wear and definitely for a night out or a more heavy make up look!

My everyday lip look is usually nothing at all and I reach for my Carmex lip balm during the day when my lips are feeling a little on the dry side. I sometimes go for a nude lip and if I do I either go for a gloss or my Mac Stripdown Liner and Mac's Velvet Teddy.

Some days when you do want to do for a more dramatic lip look I always lead towards red lips.

My favourite red combinations are my Lady Danger Mac lipstick with either Mac's Cherry liner or Nars Velvet Lip Pencils, they are a really wonderful consistency. I love the payoff of these colours and they are really easy to work with and last all day. I usually keep the lip colour matte with just the lipliner and the lipstick but I do sometimes reach for some shine, which can either be in the form a red gloss or a sheer gloss which I would apply with my fingers.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know if you'd like to see any tutorials or if you have any more posts you're wanting to see!

Burgandy Fur

I have recently fallen in love with my new burgundy faux fur scarf and some of you may have seen it on my Instagram.
Scarves for me are a really great way to tackle those days which are half way between an attempt at summer and a cold day.

I picked this scarf up at a Blogger Event help by Rock On Ruby ( and it was an event where we all swapped items we didn't wear enough. I have definitely given this scarf some wear. This look for me was super versatile, the long vintage coat I chose to pair it with works really well during the spring to summer transition in England as it is not very thick. This allows me to layer underneath if it is more of a cold day, or simply wear jeans and a t shirt to keep me cool with my scarf giving me some warmth. For this time of year in the UK my holy grail accessory is most definitely a scarf. It is something you can easily throw on quickly if you get cold or simply pop into your handbag if you get too hot.

I paired this coat and scarf with a trusty pair of high waisted black denim jeans and my Topshop lace up boots. However a nice pair of ballet flats would bring a more summery feel into this look.

I really hope you enjoyed this outfit post! Keep an eye out as there will be more looks coming very soon as I am ensuring I really get into my blog this summer and work my hardest at it.

Comment any looks you are wanting to see from me and I will work on them for you.

Everyday heels

Hello lovely readers of my blog! I am so sorry I haven't been posting recently but for some reason I've been on a bit of a down about my schooling and myself. However I have decided I am going to try and really start posting on my blog once at week if I can. I have decided that I really want to see where this may be able to take me and I know I would regret it if I never tried. So here is a long overdue outfit post for you all!

I have been trying to make my style a little bit smarter sometimes when I'm feeling the need or desire to dress my outfits up slightly. I have found that the best way to do this is through a nice tailored coat and some heels. Baring in mind that heels are as much as you do want them to be, not a good option for a day of walking around. I thankfully had a spare pair of flats in my bag on this day so this was not an issue!

I paired my grey two piece which I have posted on my Instagram (@hayleighjm) from Noobi, with my Public Desire lace up heels, my lovely fake Celine handbag which I would oh so love to be real and my mums Episode coat which I have claimed for my own (sorry mother).

This was then warmed up with a very long scarf from Zara which I absolutely adore. This is such a warm scarf and I have recently been wearing it with summer dresses to make my attempts at summery outfits not hinder me when it comes to ensuring the ever changing English weather.

I really hope you like this outfit! Let me know what you want to see more of!
