Prom Dress Inspiration - Runway On The Runway Inspired!

As previously mentioned in a post I am writing a few posts about Runway on The Runway, an event at Manchester Airport in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. Some of the dresses and brands that they will be showcasing are really beautiful, so I am going to do an inspiration post to give those of you looking for a prom dress at the moment some inspiration from some of the designers in partner with the event! Whether it helps you find your dress or an idea of what dress you want, I hope this helps!

Lipsy!

This is my favourite dress from the new Lipsy Collection in collaboration with Michelle Keegan, this dress is absolutely stunning and would suit so many body shapes. Its the classic long prom dress but the lace allows some interest further down the dress and on the top portion. This would be a perfect understated yet glamorous prom dress, if you were perhaps wanting to go for a more dramatic hair and make up combination with a more muted dress colour. However this dress is in no was understated as it is absolutely beautiful.
(available here! at £85)

Coast!

I absolutely ADORE this dress it is my idea of perfection in a prom dress. At the higher end of the budget for a prom dress you are most definitely paying for quality of material etc. at Coast. The fabric would be of a very high quality and it would fit so so well. I love the bow detailing on the back of the dress, it would look stunning with your hair up in a 'messy bun' with a classic red lip. I only wish this was available when I had my prom!
(available here! at £195)

Quiz!

This dress was actually very kindly gifted to me by Quiz this week, and it looks absolutely stunning, I was always torn between a glitzy sequin dress for prom or a more classic look, but I think this dress really combines those two things perfectly with both the high neck and high back allowing for a sophisticated look and then paired with a killer leg split, what more can a girl want? Quiz is also a really great place to get perhaps a lower down on your budget dress but by no means are you giving up the beauty of the dress as this dress is amazing!
(available here! at a reduced price of £49.99 instead of £69.99!)

Sherri Hill

Sherri Hill 32095

Sherri Hill is one of the places that every girl wants her prom dress from, all of the dresses are absolutely stunning, so if you are lucky enough to perhaps wear one, then you are one lucky girl! I love this deep navy gown from Sherri Hill due to the fitted body and flared bottom, you can't really wear a big sticky out dress any other time can you? So go for it if that is what you want! They have such an amazing variety of dresses available through Sherri Hill, so if you are thinking of getting one then do make sure you check out as many styles as you can to find your perfect dress!
(available through the Sherri Hill website here!)

 Kurt Geiger!

I really do think that Kurt Geiger is the absolute perfect designer to get your prom shoes from, they are more than enough to make a girl feel special without necessarily breaking the bank, I have just been on the website and picked out my favourites! I am going to list links to my favourite shoes on the site!
http://www.kurtgeiger.com/gosh-orange-leather-36-carvela-kurt-geiger-shoe.html
http://www.kurtgeiger.com/maia-champagne-fabric-38-kurt-geiger-london-shoe.html

What I love about Kurt Geiger as well is that most of the shoes come in various colour choices, which means you are able to find a style that is perfect for you in height and strap etc. and then choose the colour which you love the most!

I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know if it helped you in any way as I sincerely hope it did!

Love,

Antler S/S 15!

I am so excited and thankful to be working with the amazing luggage brand Antler for my upcoming trip to Canada at the end of March. I am so excited to be giving their cases my true tried and tested opinion as travelling to Canada is not exactly a short trip. Therefore I really cannot wait to try out their cases as I have always admired them as I have wandered through Selfridges.
Firstly though I just wanted to write a little post to wet both mine and your appetite about their new Saturn case for their S/S 15 collection, this is not the case that I will be trying out as size and weight was of big importance for my flight so I chose their Jupiter case (stay tuned for more info when I travel!!). However their Saturn case I think would be absolutely ideal for your normal usual holidays!
The first thing I loved about the Saturn case was the matt look, I adore how it is not too in your face and shiny but looks so clean cut and seems like a perfect solution to wanting to travel using a stylish yet sturdy bag. The fact that this case is a hard case makes me fall in love with it even more, I just feel so much more at ease placing my luggage in a hard case as a pose to softer cases especially after some of the horror stories you hear!
What I also love about this case is the way that you could if you wanted to, match your large case with a cabin case! This is what I will be doing on my trip to Canada and I am so excited! I will be posting a travel essentials post up just before I go away which I am excited about so look out for that too!
What really blew me away was the 10 year warranty, which to me screams quality, there is no way there would be a 10 year warrantee if they were not 100% sturdy and going to last you.
These cases come in such a great colour range they come in a deep grey, a burgundy and a deep navy colour, perfect for a not too in your face colours.
I really am so excited to show you my cases in April and I hope that if you were looking into upgrading your suitcase game then you may now have a reason to!
Visit the Antler website here! and a link to the Saturn case is here!
The Antler site has an absolutely amazing range of cases and travel items so I highly recommend a browse.
Thanks so much for reading!
I hope you enjoyed this post!

Pretty In Pink!

Joseph and I recently went out for his surprise birthday meal to Rosso in Manchester, and it was the nicest evening.
I was gifted this beautiful AX Paris dress in the sweetest Valentine's gift box, it would never be a dress I would have chosen to pick out as it is PINK! However the second I tried the dress on I absolutely fell utterly in love with it, the way it fit my shape and the colour just looked perfect with my hair colour and I could not have been happier.
I was indecisive about what to wear for his birthday but I thought I should surprise Joe and head away from my usual dark colours and try a full pink and no black outfit!
I am so happy he loved the dress as his opinion could not mean more to me, and he said he loved it, so Hayleigh was happy in pink!

I paired the beautiful pastel pink dress which you can get for an absolute bargain price of £28, and its is probably the most comfortable dress I have EVER worn honesty I had no walking troubles as the material of this dress is just so stretchy and I didn't feel like I had a food baby when I had eaten its a win win! The link to the beautiful dress is here!

Getting back to what I was saying! I decided to pair this gorgeous dress with my new pair of Kurt Geiger's which I got in the January sales for £29! I just wouldn't say no as the heel height was just perfect for them not to hurt my feet while walking through Manchester and the peep toe is a must for me with heels so this just made them even better!

I forgot my nude clutch bag on the night so I had a little panic and then realised that I could use my Victoria's Secret make up bag that matched the colour of the dress perfectly! It really got me thinking that I can start using my accessories for different things!

The final element of my outfit was my camel coat which I recently thrifted for the insane price of £3 which I don't think I have gotten over yet... But it felt so Kim Kardashian it was great haha! The pink worked so well with the camel colour and I loved how it kept me oh so warm.

dfghjkl

I hope you liked this outfit post and I hope that you go and check out www.axparis.com as I am completely sold on the quality of their dresses and they will be my go to website for a dress!

WANTZ Fashion App!

I have recently been contacted by WANTZ app, and how it works. I was immediately interested as I have heard about many apps like this but had never really had chance to look and see what they were all about. What I immediately loved was the loading page, as weird as that may sound! I am always drawn in my the imagery of an app and the asthetics and this more than scored a 10/10.
Some of you may have seen my instagram post about WANTZ and thank you to those of you who followed me!
Through this app you are able to post looks in single images or collages to show to the rest of the app users, I think it is an absolutely brilliant source of outfit inspiration, I have definitely taken some ideas for my own styling!

This is my profile page where you can see the images you have posted and access other areas of the app, there is a feed where you can see outfits via those who you follow and then a discover page where you can find new people to follow and to find even more outfit inspiration!

Finally you have a shop feature, which I think is a really great part of this app. It allows you to shop outfits via the app so you can not only get inspiration for the outfits, but you can purchase your favourite elements!

I know I myself have some purchases on the app I am more than wanting to make so I definitely recommend it if you are looking for shoppable inspiration, as there is nothing more annoying than finding an outfit you love but not being able to buy any of it or know where to look for it!

The WANTZ app is available on the App Store so go and make a download, its more than worth a try!

Hope you enjoyed this post, many more new posts to come and hopefully I will be starting up YouTube soon! Please do comment any video ideas!

Prom!

In light of my upcoming posts regarding Runway on The Runway at Manchester Airport for Christies Teenage Cancer Trust.
They will be holding a fashion show on the 27th of March at Manchester Airport and I cannot wait to go!
I wanted to start by writing about my experience of prom, as I know there will be some of you approaching the time yourselves!
The Dress;
I know for most people, the prom dress is the most important part and for others I know it is not. For me it was not the be all and end all however I did want to be in a dress that I felt great in and fit my own personal style. As some of you may know one of my favourite shops is TK Maxx, and I knew that it would be a really great place to look as it would have some higher end designer brands for much less than the retail price.
I went in and had a look at my local shop and found the most beautiful Moschino gown, black silk like material with a ruched waist and rose detailing on the waist, it was a little too big but I thought I would be able to take it in for the day itself, I also found a pair of Steve Madden nude heels to match.
However knowing me I ended up buying this dress very early about 5 months before prom itself which opened myself up to browsing in the meantime, I found a nude dress covered with black lace, with a peplum hem and a strapless neckline in the TK Maxx clearance online, it was only available in my size and I knew that if I did not order it and at least try it on I would regret it.
It came and I fell in love with it, it fit ever so perfectly and I could not have found a prom dress that was more me if I tried. However my gorgeous little Moschino number did not go to waste and was worn by someone else for prom, no waste there! It looked 10x better than it ever did on me honestly.

Make up!
I chose to do my own make up for prom as I personally do not trust other people doing my make up as it tends to not be what I like at all, therefore I decided to head out and buy my make up myself. I went to the MAC counter and got myself some studio fix foundation and a classic red lipstick in Ruby Woo. I then went to the Dior counter and picked myself up an IT-Line liquid eyeliner, you can never go wrong with a red lip and some winged eyeliner.
However of course if make up is not for you then you by no means have to do it yourself, you can go and get it done at a beauty salon or go into for example the MAC counter and have your make up done and then pick some items out to take home! I know that this tends to be a popular choice with a lot of people.
Prom itself;
I loved being around everyone for prom and seeing what everyone was wearing and it was a really lovely way of saying goodbye to everyone you probably wont see again, so I really do suggest you go if you are on the edge of going and not going. I only went for the prom itself as I knew that after prom was not for me at all, so do not feel you have to go if you do not want to and by all means go if you do!

I so very much hope that you are all looking forward to your proms coming up!
I will be doing a prom dress inspiration post for you all very soon alongside accessories posts!

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Love,
H x
