Grafea Outfit Post

Recently I was lucky enough to be invited by the lovely Amy, to do a street shoot in Manchester for GRAFEA (http://www.grafea.co.uk/)

I arrived and we went and looked for some good locations to get the best shots, I was given the beautiful BIANCA rucksack (available here, and is currently on sale, so if you are loving it, go and snatch up a bargain!
I was so taken aback by the quality of these rucksacks, having seen them regularly on my instagram through their rise in popularity, I had always wondered what they would actually be like in person and whether they would truly be worth the money. The simple answer is yes, yes they are.
The structure and feel of these bags are amazing, the feel and the space inside the bags as well make them more than worth the investment.

For the shoot I wanted to create a simple layered look (a look of course I never have mentioned I like before, definitely never mentioned my love of layering...) I wore my TK Maxx coat, TK Maxx turtle neck, trusty H&M black jeans and my favourite and very worn Office chelsea boots.
The bag worked so well with this look as most of the colours were dark, especially the contrast of the white bag with the black coat, I loved it.

GRAFEA have such an amazing selection of bags on their website, all made from scratch in Manchester, if you know you want a bag that you will want to use every day and want to last, I honestly could not give you a better recommendation.

I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know if you have any future blog post ideas!

William May Wish List (Valentine's Day Inspiration)

Through my use of The Blogger Programme I recently came across a jewellery website called William May (http://www.william-may.co.uk/) - and I was amazed at the range of items available to buy, so I thought I would create a wish list for you all. Especially as Valentine's Day is fast approaching and jewellery would never fail to impress no matter what the price tag. So I have found a few items both for him and for her so hopefully this may be able to help you find something if you are also stuck for inspiration.

I will choose items within a range of prices so hopefully, no matter what your price range for the perfect gift, you will be able to find some inspiration.

For Her;

(9ct Yellow Gold Aquamarine & Diamond Set Earrings - £35, available here. )
These earrings are so stunning and I can imagine them catching the light so much due to the majority of the earrings containing stones. I am not a huge lover or hanging earrings myself but I would snatch these up in a heart beat.

(9ct Yellow Gold Cubic Zirconia Earrings - £16, available here. )
This cheaper option is in no way a worse option than any of the others, the blue stone gives it a somewhat unique look - and would perhaps be a way of adding some sparkle and even some colour into your everyday jewellery without it being in your face, perfectly subtle.

(9ct White Gold Diamond Set Pendant and Chain - £79, available here. )
The classic diamond necklace, with a slight twist (get it?!) this twisted necklace is truly beautiful and it looks as if it would lay beautifully between the collar bones, something I want in every necklace I wear.

(9ct 8' Cubic Zirconia & Kiss Link Bracelet - £115, available here. )
Bracelets seem to be the piece of jewellery that we never seem to spend money on and wear regularly, but I think that this would be a perfect way of changing that, the perfect addition of sparkle to your everyday.

Splurge!

(9ct Yellow Gold Cubic Zirconia Set Bangle - £135, available here. )
This bangle is absolutely stunning, its classic and simple but so elegant, this would be the bracelet for all those special occasions.

These are just a very cut down selection of some of the beautiful items I found and thought would make wonderful gifts for Valentine's Day or any other special occasion you thought they would be loved for. You can really never go wrong with some sparkle, on the website there is also a great selection of vintage jewellery if you know that this style would be suited to yourself or the person you are wishing to buy for, so go ahead and hint ladies!
I would absolutely adore every single piece on here and so many more on the website oh its jewellery heaven!

For Him;

(9ct Rose Gold Half Patterned Chain Cufflinks - £79, available here. )
Cufflinks are never a bad purchase for a man you know likes the slightly more suave, luxurious side of things, if you know they wear a suit or know that they like wearing suits, cufflinks are a fab idea.

 (9ct Yellow Gold Double Snake Ring - £79, available here. )
This ring I thought was fabulously different, and may be a good idea for a guy who likes to express his own person style through the clothes he wears and the jewellery he wears, this would be a perfect addition to that!

Splurge!

(9ct White Gold Bevelled Men's Curb Bracelet - £235, available here. )
Bracelets are limited when it comes to men, however a simple yet expensive chain bracelet is something you could not go wrong with, if you're wanting to spend some extra money.

 They also have a really great selection of watches available on the website, a popular choice for a Valentine's gift, so I do highly recommend checking out the website!
Let me know what you think of the site!

I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope that it helped you gain some last minute jewellery inspiration or gift inspiration for the fast approaching Valentine's or any other occasion!

Knee Highs for Spring

I have been loving the idea of bring in knee high elements into spring this year.
Throughout the change from freezing cold to bearable I have noticed that the trend of knee highs which has been creeping in revently would be great for this time of year.
The height of these style shoes on the leg allows for you to wear a dress, with tights if it is still rather cold and still keep your legs warm and not expose them fully to the elements (especially if you are a resident in England like I am, the likelihood of you needing warmth is high).
The dress and knee high boots look is a great one in itself, it is a two step way to master effortless style, paired with a long coat or perhaps a leather jacket and you have a completed look, in only three items.
Simple and Stylish, its the best way.

Due to knee highs coming into fashion and gaining popularity so quickly, they are easily attainable on the high street, anywhere from New Look, to River Island to Topshop are stocking them on the high street, and are even more easily available online, with ASOS having a wide range from different designers. You can either invest in a pair you know will last and pay that extra amount of money if you know that you will be one to get a lot of use out of them, or you can do what I would most likely do. I would admit to myself that I would not wear them enough to justify a leather or suede pair and just get a simple pair of knee highs for when I am in the mood to pull the look off.

For those of you who want to carry off recent trends without coming across as girly girly I think that this one is an excellent one for you. The over the knee element adds an 'edgy' feel to the look you would choose to add them to, whether that be a more girly dress or perhaps a big chunky knit dress (my personal choice!).

I used burgundy accessories as I just thought that burgundy is the most amazing colour for the beginning and end of winter.
The coat matching both the bag and the lipstick is such an easy way to add in elements of colour without it taking over your entire outfit, an issue which I have.
Listed below are the items I used to create this look!

My 2015 Inspiration;

This year I really want to 100% wear what I want, I want to feel confident in what I wear and love how it is put together. Don't get me wrong I love the way I dress now and of course I will still be wearing outfits I have come to know and love, however this year I want to try and become more 'clean cut' with my style and see how it goes!
However these are some of my favourite trend forecasts for 2015 that myself and maybe you can take inspiration from if you like them!
1. Oversized Jumpers over Skirts;
I love the look of oversized jumpers over pieces like knee length dresses or skirts, I am just a sucker for layering. I did this is 2014 as you can see above when I did my street shoot for my blog and this was one of my favourite looks by far. I just love the cut out effect of my jumper which was from TK Maxx over my polo-neck sleeveless dress from Zara. Layering is such a good way to make an impression that you have made much more effort than you really have, because in reality I put a dress on and threw a jumper on over the top and I was done. I love it.
The great thing about layering with jumpers is that it tends to look fab no matter what colours you try and work with, and in my opinion it works all year round. I remember being in Spain a couple of years ago when I first started playing around with my style a bit more and I styled a bright blue pleated dress with a gold short sleeved jumper and I felt a million dollars, maybe not Vogue's next from cover but man did I feel good.

2. Lace Up Heels;

I recently came into ownership of an absolutely stunning pair of Steve Madden lace up heels (left) which you may have seen on my Instagram if you follow me. Courtesy of the lovely Joseph Hall I am currently constantly prancing round my room in these shoes. This type of shoe is in my 2015 trend inspiration selection because I have never found a shoe that is more me. I love putting these on with every outfit and they add that simplistic edgy element I strive to have in all of my outfits effortlessly. I have tried these on simply with black jeans, a black polo neck and a black coat to trying them on with my massively blue sequined French Connection dress that makes me look every so sparkly and I adore them.
These would be a great purchase for those who like to dress up their everyday outfits or for those who want to add an edgy style to their evening wear, my ideas of perfect looks. Zara did a pair of black lace up heels alongside with Primark doing more colourful versions so if you want some just make sure to keep your eye out!

You do not necessarily have to choose black ones though, as spring and summer are fast approaching us it may be a good idea if you are more into your colours to invest in some in a pop of colour, perhaps red or yellow to spice up any monochrome looks you have planned for the spring time.

3. Long Tailoring

Going along with the clean cute theme I have going on in my little mental style world I love the idea of long tailoring for spring and for 2015. Tailored looks are an excellent way to look classy and are very easy to work in extra edgy pieces or elements.
 I adore the way that tailored outfits look, I think that no matter what you wear it with it will work. Whether it be a slouchy top or a chunky scarf you can do not wrong!
I think that I will be loving tailored looks over 2015 as they just allow you to look effortlessly sophisticated and stylish.
And of course my absolute favourite type of tailored style is my adored tailored coat, I could never ever have too many tailored coats.

4.Slouchy Style

This year I really want to allow myself to be stylish yet still comfortable and not looking too out of place in Manchester if I am in the mood to be looking that extra bit stylish, and I have come to the conclusion that (god forbid) I may have to start bringing some more colour into my outfits, oh dear... But after looking through some inspiration and realising I need to make a couple of more colourful purchases (and by colourful I mean like blue jeans aha) and start giving them a style in my head, and I have some nice ideas I would love to try.
I like the idea of bringing back me wearing boyfriend jeans is a good one for me I think. But not the stereotypical boyfriend jeans that go tighter around the ankles, because lets be serious what males would actually wear the 'boyfriend' jeans they sell us. So I am going to look for some more straight legged trousers perhaps with rips in and then style this up with some comfy heels and a slouchy jumper. Perfect!
I really love the shoes in the image on the left and will definitely be looking into trying and getting myself a pair of those they also look so so comfy.
Slouchy yet stylish is going to be the new me for a little while, that's if I master is of course...

I hope this may have been of use to some of you and gave you a little bit of inspiration for yourselves!

Thank you ever so much for reading and of course comment below if there are any posts you would like to see!

Love,
H x
