The 'IT' Shoe of Summer in Winter

How have you all been recently? Are you all ready for Christmas? Its come so soon this year I am not sure whether I am ready for it! I have only just managed to get all my Christmas shopping this year and I don't know how it has crept up on me so fast this year I am usually right on top of the game with too many presents to give to people not lacking in them! Has anyone else felt like this this year? I would love to hear what you're treating your loved ones to this year or what you're asking for as a treat to yourself, let me know below!

I really like this look, its a little different but also really simple. Lace up flats were ridiculously popular the summer just gone and its understandable why, they are a really simple way of adding something a little different to a perhaps plain outfit before. Designers like Chloe and Aquazzura started the trend, with almost every high street shop providing a cheaper alternative meaning everyone was hopping into the trend. I really loved my Zara lace ups (these ones I know are still actually available in store!) and wanted to still be able to wear them in colder weather. I have worn these with black jeans before and they look really nice but I found that the bottom of the jeans covered the really nice tie at the top of the shoe.

Long-sleeved body-con dresses are a staple for me in Autumn and Winter thats no doubt, they are flattering, comfortable and provide a base layer which you can layer on top of to be as warm as you want to. This look was more for the milder winter days when you just need a cover and something extra on top. I paired this basic cotton H&M body-con dress with my Mango fringed overcoat and then finished it all off with these shoes and micro bag both from Zara. I am a lover of a good mini bag and always have been, even though I am always one to cram everything I can into my handbags, smaller bags don't let me do this and are so easy to carry around! Everyone should get a micro bag okay I just absolutely love them and if I could give you all a little mini bag and let you experience the miniature joy I would (haha!).

The Perfect Primark Coat - Keeping Cosy and Stylish in Winter

I looked oh so cool sitting in a park throwing leaves in the air for this shot guys you better like it...

If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know I have been obsessed with this Primark bargain coat I picked up a couple of months ago. This beauty was only £25 and for the practicality and warmth it has given me since I bought it, it was more than worth the money. I think that these styles of coats are absolutely adorable, and very easy to style. I have worn this coat with jeans, a dress and tights and over a dress when I have been out for a meal. This coat will definitely be a reoccurring piece in my Winter wardrobe this year and years to come I am sure.

In Winter, you do sometimes have to sacrifice style for comfort and warmth, and I know I am definitely one to do this. I need my outfits to be simple and easy to manage and will allow me to walk around the Manchester Christmas Markets for a couple of hours without feeling like my toes will drop off or my feet uncomfortable. I am not one to really bother with my hairstyles at all just due to the style of my natural hair, but in Winter if you do like to put more effort into your hair, I suggest you simply go for a messy bun, a simple ponytail or just naturally down. Comfortable shoes are a 100% must have, such as my trusty Timberlands I am wearing in this outfit, and layers, they are the most important to keep yourself warm.

Dream Christmas Wishlist - Arcarta

After I received a gorgeous wax sealed invite in the post, I knew I had to share Arcarta with you all and my dream Christmas list from them. I wish I was able to treat everyone around me to exactly what I know they love, but a girl can dream right?

Arcarta is a really unique experience, it has a really stunning collection of luxury pieces sourced from boutiques all together in one place. I really love just looking around at all of the gorgeous pieces I would love to treat my family to something from the mix of new and second hand pieces and snap up a really beautiful and unique piece.

Treat Yourself

Being with Joe has definitely given me a bigger appreciation of watches, mostly because he never seizes to drag me to every shop window we ever pass with any form of timepiece in. I know that if Joe was choosing a watch for me I think he would go for an Audemars Piguet. Mainly because he absolutely adores them himself, but also they are stunning watches. I would definitely keep my eye out for a simple plain one however the added sparkle is never a bad thing, especially for people who would love their arm candy to stand out.

Available - here

For Mum;

Diamonds would be a must for my Mum. I know that she really loves this style of bracelet as she has a diamonte one she loves to wear. Diamonds are of course a girls best friend so you could never go wrong with some simplistic jewellery for any female family members for christmas, whether it be a girlfriend, mother or grandmother. I hope to one day be able to really treat everyone in my family to something really special like this bracelet. There are so many stunning diamond pieces on Arcarta, and I am lusting after them all.

For Dad;

My absolute dream purchase for my dad is the Monaco Tag Heur watch, the one that Steve Mcqueen wears in Le Mans as I know it is his dream watch (so I will definitely be keeping an eye out on Arcarta for one!). This Patek Philippe was just a really beautiful classic looking watch, and I know that this is what my dad is into, he is not a super show off watch person so just a plain leather strap and a minimalist watch face would be the perfect option for him. I really love the idea of treating male family members to watches so this was definitely a no brainer for me.

Available - here

For Joe;

I would be lying if I said I could confidently choose Joe a beautiful watch if I had the money because he is extremely picky and I know he would be so very particular about watches especially. The watch he is drawn to every single time we end up in the watch gallery in Selfridges in an Audemars Piguet, and this silver metal strap with the white face is just such a beautiful classic watch. Now, the Richard Mille watch its essentially for the wow factor, I know that he would just love to be able to wear one of these on his wrist for those people who know about watches to appreciate.

I would really love to treat those around me one christmas to something they can genuinely treasure forever, and I know this will not be for a very long time but Arcarta will definitely be a place I will keep my eye on for some gorgeous unique pieces both for myself and those I love.

I hope you enjoyed this dream treat wishlist!

Autumn/Winter Favourites

1. Cups of Tea and Relaxing

I'm not sure about anyone else, but as it starts to get colder, I want to be out in the cold air more as I am such a lover of colder weather, but nothing beats being inside and keeping warm. This time of year is when you can spend more time inside, spending time with the people you love and having some well deserved relaxation time. Nothing beats a cup of tea any time of year, however there is something comforting about it being cold outside and you being nice and warm inside. Also, this is the time of year is the joyous time where all of the festive drinks come out so its happy time for me, can't resist a festive drink...

2. Cosy Jumpers and Autumn Style

If you've been a follower of my Instagram or my blog, you will know I have an undeniable love for a good cosy jumper, especially if its a turtle neck (they are the true way to my heart I can tell you). There is nothing better than being cosy when its cold outside, its perfect for me as I love the cold weather so much, being able to be outside and experience my favourite aspects of Autumn and Winter and not be freezing cold is heaven.
I really love the styles you can bring out more in Autumn, these being good old tartan mainly for me, whether this is a flannel shirt, skirt or simply a scarf, tartan is most definitely one of my favourite seasonal trends, alongside the deep red tones.

3. Autumnal Make-Up

Autumn make up looks are my idea of absolute heaven. I wear winged eyeliner almost everyday as staple, but being able to wear my absolute favourite combination of winged liner and burgundy lips without it looking out of place or over the top is true bliss. My go to super Autumnal make up look has got to be my classic winged eyeliner, with a copper/gold shadow (my absolutely favourite at the moment is this Tom Ford cream eyeshadow in the shade 'Spice') and a burgundy or classic red lipstick.
The palette above is my go to travel palette at the moment, it is the 'In The Balm of Your Hand' palette, its got some gorgeous shadows from some of my favourite The Balm palettes combined with some gorgeous bronzing, blusher and highlighting shades. Take a look here if you want to have a look at it yourself.
I am hoping to sort an Autumnal make up look either on my blog or youtube very soon, alongside a products I would or wouldn't repurchase, so keep your eyes peeled!

4. Woody Scents

I have a thing for liking to match my perfume to the time of year it is, it is not something I enforce upon myself, however I do so if I come across a really gorgeous scent I want to wear during a certain time of year. I have to say I am the type of girl who has lots of different types of perfumes, I have never been a one scent girl so I like trying out different ones in order to try and find the one for me! In summer I was wearing Peony and Blush Suede by Jo Malone, and I really loved how long the scent lasted on my skin and my clothes, which somewhat justifies the price as they are on the more pricy side for how much product you get for your money. I went to Jo Malone recently and fell in love with '154' now granted, this is definitely the least imaginative of the Jo Malone names, however it embodies different notes form all of the Jo Malone scents, and this definitely explains why I loved this one as I was finding it so hard to choose my favourite one before this.
I really recommend Jo Malone for a special gift for perhaps a mother or sister, something a little more indulgent if thats what you're after.

I really enjoyed this post, its something a little different and allows me to do a little more writing. I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know if you'd like to see some more favourites whether they were beauty or anything else.
I hope you're all very well!

Army Chic ft Boda Skins

You may have noticed quite a lot of the looks I have been posting recently are more everyday casual looks. I really wanted to bring in really wearable outfits that would be easy for a lot of people to recreate without having to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe. A leather jacket and a flannel are staples in so many wardrobes, and pairing the two together is not exactly revolutionary on my part, but the gorgeous military detailing on this Boda Skins leather jacket, meant I could bring in the current trend of military styling into an old favourite and simple outfit of mine.

As this was a super simple and wearable outfits, black skinny jeans and black boots completed the relaxed look really easily and without going to too much effort. Leather jackets are really great for this time of year as with most of them, you can layer up underneath and still retain some shape. I personally do not mind the somewhat straight up and down silhouette with longer winter coats, but for those who prefer to keep some shape, a leather jacket is a really great alternative for you.

The leather jacket that I'm wearing is the Napoleon Oil Black jacket, if you want to check it out then click here - regarding size, I was lucky enough to go into Boda Skins HQ and choose this gorgeous jacket and the lovely ladies informed me about the sizing. I am normally a size 6, however they said it would be best for me to go for a size 8 instead as it would allow me to layer up underneath (something you need to be able to do spending money on a high quality jacket) and how the initial sizing feels very small, and the leather itself stretches and moulds to your body shape. I have found this to be 100% true, it now fits me like a dream with no restrictions whatsoever. A Boda Skins jacket is a really great idea for a Christmas present if you're looking to treat yourself or someone you love!

Red lips and winged liner are really gorgeous with any leather jacket look, you an skip them if you're looking for a more dressed down and casual look, and then you can go all out if you're wanting to dress this look up further.

Party in The City with

Party in The City with

I have collaborated with Far Fetch in order to bring you my favourite party look created with beautiful dream wardrobe items from their site. This is the look I came up with, and I just wish I could wear this to go out. I was looking through the endless designer items when I came across this Tagliatore Sequin Blazer and it just screamed 'festive party wear' to me. I completely fell in love and knew I had to base my look around this gorgeous centrepiece. I wanted to create a party look that was a little bit different instead of the conventional dress and heels, partially due to my own personal style, but also due to the diverse pieces on Far Fetch, and I couldn't not take advantage of the variety of unique styles.

Thigh highs have become so immensely popular recently, and I am absolutely smitten with them, so I knew I had to find the perfect pair to go with this look. I didn't want to go for the simple plain leather or plain suede boot I wanted something a little more special. These Gianni Renzi boots delivered this for me and more, the ribbed detail was a perfect addition to make them stand out and add a different angle on the thigh high trend. I love the idea of rocking popular trends with your own unique edge, so being able to find pieces that are somewhat unique is so amazing and makes me much happier than I care to admit. Boot goals 100%, oh so dreamy...

I wanted to keep the jacket the staple item of this look and ensure it remained the centrepiece, this is why the components of the outfit, the boots, the trousers and the shirt, seemed simple, however I wanted to make sure the items I chose were not simple, but would bring a subtle edgy style into the mix. The mixing of a sheer Maison Margiela and Helmut Lang leather trousers brought in a sexy aura to the outfit, the gorgeous detailing on the shirt balancing out the masculinity of the tailored jacket with beautiful feminine detail.

Bringing everything together was the accessories I chose, I wanted this party look to be a festive one, so there was only one colour I could involve; a beautiful red. As mentioned in me previous post, I am a lover of matching my make up to my accessories as a really simple way of making your outfit effortlessly more put together. I chose a crimson red lipstick, matched with a crimson red Alexander McQueen clutch with beautiful feminine detailing again with silver statement jewellery to tie all of the colour palettes in this outfit together.

I really hope you enjoyed this partywear inspiration post, all of these items are linked in the little images above, and you can visit the Far Fetch website and fall in love with everything online here!

Comfort is a must, right?

I recently went and shot some high quality images for you all for my website, and this is the first look I am able to bring you! I chose this look because it has definitely become the time of year when cosy clothing is a necessity. I really want to create both really on trend and stylish winter looks but also the simple, classic and cosy looks we would all much rather gravitate towards for everyday wear.
I am a real believer in comfortable clothing when it comes to wearing something everyday, especially in the Winter. This is why my absolute go-to at this time of year is some structured boots, these are my Timberlands which I had bought for me a few years ago and have remained a loyal and trustworthy companion for the days I know I need some comfortable footwear. Don't get me wrong, I love some heeled thigh highs in the winter, a jumper dress and a bobble hat, but there is only so much walking in heels a girl can take, and not frequently! Investing in a pair of comfortable, I say again, comfortable boots is a really must have and top tip for anyones winter wardrobe.

If you have been a follower of mine for a while or a long term reader of this blog (if you are by the way you're absolutely amazing and I cannot thank you enough) you will know I have a love affair with turtle neck jumpers. This is why my throw on jumpers are always turtle necks, including this gorgeous one from Zara. Paired with a simple black pair of skinny jeans and boots it was a staple look I couldn't not put on my blog for some simple outfit inspiration.

Comfy clothes can sometimes feel like they aren't as stylish as others, however I am a great believer in dressing up your comfort in other ways, such as through how you accessorise and finish your outfit. In this look for example, I wanted to bring in burgundy tones to make it even more autumnal, I knew there was a burgundy colour in my personalised scarf, alongside the gorgeous red tones from my Lady Dior (bought from the amazing Designer Exchange, click the link to shop the site) meant I could bring it out even further by choosing a deep red lip. This is honestly such a perfect easy way of making any outfit look more put together.
This Lady Dior from WeBuyDesigner is my favourite mini bag for every look, it has a detachable strap making it more than perfect for every look. I am keeping an eye out on their site for gorgeous christmas presents this year, and maybe some treats for myself!

Jumper - Zara available here but just a lighter grey!
Jeans - here (10% off with HAYLEIGH10 too!)
Boots - Timberland, and there are some similar timberlands here!

I hope you really enjoyed this post, please do let me know what you think especially on the images!
