Persun Mall Wish List

I was thinking of having wish lists as a more regular thing on my blog as I thought they may be a good way of getting across trends of the time via outfit plans etc. so I will just try out a few things and see which you all enjoy best! This will help me know what to add in to my outfit posts in summer, I'm so very excited to get this blog up and running properly in the summer I've been looking forward to it for so long and I hope it all works out and you all enjoy it as much as I will!
So, onto Persun Mall!
Persun is a fabulous online shopping destination (ooh I sound like a travel agents!) and honestly the clothes available on the sight are so fabulous I fell in love - don't be put off by the origin of the site the postage over seas is not that much! Its free worldwide shipping on orders over $15! So you can give yourself a cheeky bit of retail therapy and get it at a good price! 15% off is also available off your first order if you sign up to the mailing list (hardly a burden!) and 20% off if you like them on Facebook - even better!
I thought I would show you some of my favourite items from the site and how I would style them so keep reading if you're interested!
From the feet up!
Starting from the bottom of the spectrum I will start with my favourite shoes available on the website! The range of shoes available is absolutely amazing and this is an extremely shortened list!
Firstly following from my last post with the 'chunky sandal' trend - these add a height element! These could be worn in both the day and night and honestly would add an edge to any outfit. Personally i would wear these with white and black as I think these would tie in brilliantly with the simplistic trend at the moment as well. Paired with a crisp white oversized shirt and a black bodycon and you've got a killer outfit! Available here.

Next these Valentino inspired pumps, these are such a need for me as I've been lusting over the real ones every since they came out! I've only wished I could afford the real ones but these are an absolutely perfect alternative to the real deal - and miles cheaper too! These add a 'rock' element to any outfit and them being black just made me love them even more! For you more colour lovers they are available in a range of colours - including pastels, another ever emerging summer trend! Available here.
Slip on pumps have been a predominant trend this season with fashion bloggers all over sporting this casual yet stylish look. They seem to favour slip ons from the likes of Topshop, Steve Madden and H&M however these work just as fabulously. Available here.
Masculinity has also become the fashion in women's style recently - with sharper edges and straight lines allowing a more tailored look. These flats allow you to adhere to that trend without stepping outside your everyday wear comfort zone! Available here.
These are fabulous, I have completely fallen in love with them! They are very similar to a Zara pair which I have had my eye on, they are a good way to work the cut out boot trend which swept Fall/Winter '13 without exposing all of your foot (which is what put me off really). These are available here.
Dresses galore!
I am in desperate need of dresses for summer as at the moment I am solely surviving on jeans and t shirts and I can sense the weather is heating up! So I thought I would pick out a few of my favourites to show you!
OH DEAR GOD HELP I don't think I've ever fallen so hard for a piece of clothing this dress is so me I cant even begin to tell you. The cape is such a wonderful addition to this dress - oh gosh I could gush about this for so long! I NEED this in my summer wardrobe. This absolute gem is available here!
My next favourite surprised me as I'm usually a more shades of grey kind of gal (ayyy) but I've fallen in love with it, I think its the cut and shape that I love most - a line skirts are so easy to work with. Paired with some girl flats or chunky boots as above, this dress would look so good in summer! Available here.
This is such a cute dress - imagining this paired with some combat boots and a little jacket is making me very happy, this outfit needs to be mine! Available here.
This is a dress that I would love to rock on holiday! Over a short cami dress or over a bikini on the beach! I think this is a perfect solution to keeping stylish on holiday without overheating or it being inconvenient! The holes through the material will keep you nice and cool - what more can you want? Available here.
Bottoms - no not that kind you cheeky lot.
As I wrote about in my last blog post - tennis skirts are becoming extremely popular! They are available in so many colours on Persun Mall and are so much cheaper than the slightly overpriced American Apparel versions, grab a bargain here!
Yet another American Apparel dupe! These style shorts have proven popular over past summers so here you go! Yet another cheap alternative! Available here.
Everyone needs a pair of ripped jeans right? Need I say anymore? Available here.
Handbags, handbags, never got enough handbags...
I have been looking for an oversized leather clutch for so long it physically hurts my soul. This is absolutely perfect - I love the snakeskin detail it would just look so good with anything ugh. This would look fab with the caped dress and the cut out boots all shown above. Ok that is 100% my ideal outfit of right now mmmm. This beauty is available here.
I don't usually like these kind of things but I thought this one was rather cute and maybe some of you lovely lot would enjoy! This comes in a range of colours and goes on your back just like a little rucksack! I need one like this as in summer you don't want to be dragging your stuff round in a bag switching sides every minute! This is available here!

This is a absolutely fabulous Celine dupe which just automatically puts it in my favourites, this bag is actually beautiful and the colour allows for it to be worn with anything. Its spacious too so yay its convenient for heavy use and god damn it I need it. The shoulder strap makes it easy to carry on longer days too - its a win win! Available here.
And finally...
THEY HAVE THE GLASSES! So for all of you wanting a pair similar to mine, I have your solution finally! These are available here!!!
So there you have it! I'm sorry if this was too long for some of you but I enjoyed making it so that's all that matters to me really! If this hasn't given you reason to go and check out then I don't know what will! Have a good browse and treat yourself with a cheeky purchase because frankly we all deserve it at the moment with all this exam stress!
Leave a comment and let me know what you think and whether you'd like these wish lists as a regular thing!

Hopes for Summer.

Recently, exams have got me feeling like I just want to lock myself away and never speak to or look at another human being in my life. They have well and truly sucked the life out of me and caused me to become an absolute pain in the arse to both my parents and my friends and I really cannot wait for it to be over and for summer to begin. From the looks of it exams are having the same synonymous effect on most young teenagers being forced to sit in an exam hall and inwardly cry over this question they don't understand - or, if you're on the AQA board for GCSE Biology, you're forced to discuss the sexual relations between two shrimp who are 'just not that into one another' something no one wants to spend their time doing.
Exams and they negativity it seems to be shrouding me in, have made me not only just be a general negative knickers but be negative about the positives. And that's kinda crappy right? Half of its probably down to constantly being told this will be the 'summer of my life' and frankly I am feeling rather underequipt and underprepared for it, with everyone leaving for Leeds or whatever colourful festival they have planned and all this amazing stuff and my plans just seem rather inadequate for a holiday with such a weighted title. I am sure I can't be the only one feeling like this and even if I am i know its silly so I sat and i had a think about what i could actually do, at home, to improve my outlook on the 'summer of my life'.
Firstly with the help of my wonderful friend Monique who's instagram is amazing in so many ways so give her a follow here or @bermusia if you can't get on the link. She has such a fabulous talent for photography and has agreed to help me with pictures for this blog, so hopefully it will improve it and you guys may enjoy it more. This means that I will be able to post new outfit ideas etc. which seem to attract a lot of attention via my Instagram so this will hopefully help! She also suggested a wonderful idea of travelling to different places for the 'shoots' which got me thinking of what else i wanted to do with my summer.
The only problem really, is that you come up with all these wonderful ideas and none of it really happens right? I want to travel this summer, not abroad as I am unfortunately not in possesion of a bottomless pit of money, however just travel around. I am a lover of public transport which is probably a blessing as lots of people despise it, it supplies me with the ability to escape my normality and experience the new and gives me that freedom and independence i am sure to crave after slaving away over my GCSEs. I also need to get a summer job if i am to finance all this public transport so that's at the top of my list, job hunting Hayleigh activate.
I would also love to meet new people over summer, I've had 5 or 6 people suggesting the idea of a 'meet up' which blew my mind so thank you to those people that was very humbling, i'd love to meet more of you and over summer i will be a regular visitor to Manchester i am certain so if you wanna meet for a coffee then that would be lovely - there is a contact email in my Instagram bio on my page which can be found here. Or just anything really I know it would be lovely to meet some of you over summer.
So yeah, this summer I am setting myself the challenge of saying yes more. Last minute plans can be the best thing and i can see that they will be my life boat when it comes to entertaining myself this summer. Hopefully this summer will also be a time for me to catch up with old friends, meet new friends and catch up with myself spending time with people who make me happy. Sorry that this was a bit of a ramble but basically I will be doing my best over summer to improve this blog and see if it takes me anywhere, anyone who knows me well knows I love fashion and hey who knows! I enjoy doing it and there will always be people who try and put you down and they may even be people you know and thought better of but hey, do what makes you happy. I'm pretty sure this will make me happy.
So to all you lot doing exams, we can do it guys stick in there.

Summer Trends - May 2014

While doing my usual evening flick through my instagram feed, tumblr feed any anywhere else on the internet which provides me with means of procrastination, I've always loved using this time to keep up to date with the 'trends of the times' and think of my own ways of wearing them. Minimalist simplicity has been a bold trend recently with the return of the block wedge and grandmas vintage tennis skirt, along with bold florals and the resurrection of the two piece, it truly does seem that we are heading right back into the 60's.
Firstly I thought I would add some images of my fashion inspiration at the present moment and for the future in summer!

Forever my inspiration the fabulous Elizabeth Jane! Rocking my preferred version of the chunky shoe but with a heel - I have such a huge wardrobe envy of this fashion icon.

At the moment I am on the hunt for a fabulous oversized clutch bag for summer, at the moment I am torn between this American Apparel clutch and the 'Stressed, depressed, but well dressed' oversized clutch from Zara but it's been sold out everywhere I've been!

This right here is one of the best way to wear the sheer trend as show by the top and the chunky sandal trend with effortless ease. The way that all of the colours are light yet scream fashionable simplicity is something I adore and will 100% be trying to replicate in summer!

The Olsen sisters are my fashion idols and have been for many years, I love long and floaty and layered and structured just like they do, and many of my outfits are Olsen inspired. They seem to combine fashion and comfort in a way that completely captivates me and I bow down to their fabulousness. This summer I will be using them for inspiration for my accessories and what I choose to wear over the top of my outfits. If you are ever stuck for outfit ideas, I highly suggest that you search for their outfits online, there will 100% be something for everyone.
Now onto just a couple of new trends I have noticed creeping in that I thought I would discuss at greater length and talk about how I would work them if I decided to, hope this helps!

The Tennis Skirt;

This seems to be a recent trend which has cropped up mainly amongst the 'Instagram Fashionistas' and fits perfectly in the simplistic trends of the time. There seems to be a strong favourite when it comes to the skirt in question and this is from American Apparel and can be bought here; this skirt is 100% on my summer wish list this year as it seems like such a versatile piece of clothing, not forgetting it fitting like a dream, every single girl I have seen wearing this skirt recently has had such a style game which was as we call it, ever so strong. As of yet I have been unable to find a cheaper alternative which does rather break my heart as the American Apparel one is not exactly very cheap but I am sure, that it would be worth every penny, so I'm definitely going to be saving up! How I would personally style this trend would be to keep within the simplistic look of the skirt, as I think that taking the attraction away from it would ruin it completely. Personally I would wear it with a tight crop top such as this or this. Over the top (weather dependant of course!) you would top it off with a light jacket or a sheer oversized shirt left hanging or tied at the waist! I would pair this outfit with my everyday chelsea boots or an equivalent, but if the weather was feeling particularly warm I would go for a pair of chunky sandals.
The Chunky Sandal.
I am personally really undecided about this trend as I am sort of thinking its become too popular and everywhere you look there are people walking round in the same style strappy sandal with the cleated sole. It's an evolution from the popular Coltrane boot which was predominant on the high street during autumn and winter of last year and really, the chunky sandal is its summer equivalent. Don't get me wrong they look wonderful on some but I think the best was to work this trend would be to think outside the box with how you wear them. They are not a very feminine shoe so wearing them with a feminine outfit would give you a good contrast and make your outfit stand out. In upcoming summer I think that the best everyday outfit regarding this style would be the shoes (obviously) and example of which is these wonderful Topshop beauties here.
Today I had a visit to my local Superdrug and I thought that I would have a look at whether MUA had any new items in and to have a look for some killer deals throughout their entire collection. I have always loved MUA due to the quality of product that you receive from such a small price, I have every lipstick that they have made within the one pound line, and they are all so damn good with excellent pigmentation! Today I picked up a blusher in shade 'cupcake', a bronzer in shade 3, Luxe velvet lip lacquer in shades 'reckless' and 'atomic' (these are AMAZING I cannot get over how pigmented and how anti smudge they are, these are going to be my life over summer I can tell.) and finally the power pout lipstick in shade 'rendezvous' which is a lovely nude lipstick stick for every day wear. I was so happy with these as Superdrug have a 3 for 2 offer on at the moment so all of that was bought for eight pounds! oh yeaahhhhhhh.
Anyway, thank you for reading this if you have I really do appreciate it! I hope you enjoyed it and i'm sorry that its taken me so long to actually get round to making a post so I thought that I would just do an all round post! I will be getting into this blog a lot heavier over summer as my lovely friend has offered to be photographer for the photos to be on the blog which will be very very useful for me being able to tell you all where my clothes are from because I constantly get asked on my instagram, this is why I have started tagging my posts as best I can when I post them, so if you didn't know that then now you do! If you have any ideas of how I could improve this blog or what you'd like to see next whether it be on my YouTube or on my Instagram or on here, then please do let me know!
If you have any items that you want me to feature on my blog/instagram now or in the future once I set it up better then please feel free to email me at the email in my Instagram bio.
Thank you again for taking the time to read through this!
